Centrally located in the grounds of the Rotunda Hospital adjacent to the Gate Theatre, the Pillar Room has a classic appearance with magnificent marbled pillars running along the length of the ballroom. At one end, there is a raised decorative balcony and the highly ornate ceiling is illuminated by three splendid chandeliers.

Built in 1785 and designed by Frederick Trench, the Complex has a seating capacity of 300 which forms part of the Rotunda Hospital's Teaching and Conference Centre. There are also two separate Meeting Room Suites available for hire.

The Friends of the Rotunda is the official registered Charity of the Rotunda Hospital. All revenue generated from the hire of the complex is used to finance the Rotunda Hospital's Research Fund.
